10 simple things I can do to eat Better

1 – Eat less bread. One simple solution to this is to do lettuce wraps. They taste great and they hold the items just like bread. Yummy.

2 – Eat less candy. I don’t drink soda which is great. I can ween off of candy. Starting tomorrow I am limiting myself to one candy bar a day. The first week will be trouble some, but after that it should be clear sailing.

3 – I read a diet that I can totally get behind. The link is http://www.amazon.com/VB6-Before-Weight-Restore-Health/dp/0385344740. It’s called

VB6: Eat Vegan Before 6:00 to Lose Weight and Restore Your Health . . . for Good

I can totally do this. Just eat smoothies, veggies, and fruit until 6PM then
I can totally eat whatever the heck I want. Nifty right :)
4 – Eat more avocado’s. I eat them raw. I just cut them in half and put a little bit of salt on it.
  • Avocados, which are actually classified as a fruit, are rich in monounsaturated fat that is easily burned for energy. They also provide close to 20 essential health-boosting nutrients, including potassium, vitamin E, B-vitamins, and folic acid

5 – Eat more greens. I really like spinach, kale, baby kale, ect. I would like some better recipes for them, but putting them in smoothies is just dandy for me.
6 – I have been working out a lot. Playing soccer like 4-5 times a week. I am amping my protein intake to make sure my muscles grow instead of eating themselves.

Can eating a high-protein diet help bulk up muscles?

The only way to bulk up muscles is to hit the gym and perform progressive resistance exercises. Protein can help provide the raw material to build muscle, but the protein has to be pulled into muscles through exercise. Aim to eat a small amount of protein (10-20 grams, or about 2-3 ounces of lean meat, 2 cups of low-fat milk, or a scoop of most protein powders) after each bout of weight training to give your muscles the needed building blocks.

7 – Eat fruit in oatmeal or yogurt. I like pineapple, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, and other fruit.

8 – I really like salad. I like Quinoa. I figure I can put them both together and BAM amazing.
The trick is the dressing. Here are some recipes @ http://allrecipes.com/recipe/zesty-quinoa-salad/
9 – I really like peaches and it is definitely is peach, plum, and apricot season. Eating more fruit instead of candy will be awesome.
10 – The last one is kind of a kop-out. I feel like I get so caught up in time. Always rushing around. I feel that I would be happier if I said a thank you prayer/ gratitude saying for my food. It slows things down and creates a ritual for me. A daily practice of food for food for me by me. :)
